This is a truly beautiful photo. The model is beautiful, of course. I love the emotion the photographer is trying to get across. No matter how much we change our appearence are we really any more beautiful? We cut, pull, twist, stretch, inject, but what does that make us? We were made beautiful as we are naturally. No surgery or makeup. The world has twisted the belief of what beauty really is and we are all trying to be perfect. Perfection is impossible. We need to learn to be content with who we are and the beauty we have. No doctor or lotion can really make us any better. It's how we see ourselves. This photo makes you think and it shows how crazy for beauty we've become. Amazing shot! :heart:

This piece is highly evocative, the beauty of the model startles the viewer, and when they realise what the condemning lines mean, the feeling of the picture changes from admiration to contempt for the fashion industry. We are reminded that beauty is also in the person, and that they are not just a soulless item to adjust and to be played with, and then thrown away for a younger model. This piece is sublime in its most basic form, beauty that is able to tear us apart, literally, in the quest for perfection; people are willing to be cut apart to enhance their bodies and faces.

It reminds us that beauty is fragile and vague, something to admire and not simply to measure. Overall, a wonderful piece that sends a key issue right home.
